From Summer into Fall

With the amount of baitfish that have shown up along the beach and the cooling water temperatures it is shaping up to be a very good fall fishing season. August and September had lots of Spanish mackeral, little tunnies, jacks, permit, and barracuda feeding on top during nearshore trips. Grouper, snapper, big amberjack, goliath grouper were active over the right spots offshore. Large sharks and several aggressive bullsharks wreaked havoc on several offshore trips on some hot bite spots.

Kingfish, cobia, and tripletail, along with gag grouper will be the primary targets in the next several months and I am expecting an excellent fall run of these pelegic fish through our waters. Long range trips will be targetting blackfin tuna, wahoo, and mako sharks.

I would not be surpised and hope to hook some sailfish again this fall. Additional catch and release options will abound this fall with red grouper, amberjack, red snapper, and triggerfish all being closed by the federal NOAA Fisheries. I look foward to getting you out on the water and on some quality fish.
